Export and treatment by thermal desorption of polluted earth On behalf of the Direction Départementale de l’Equipement, ORTEC Generale de Depollution resorbed a dump of 5000 metric tons of sediments polluted by hydrocarbons at Boulogne sur Mer. On behalf of the Contracting Authority, ORTEC Generale de Depollution was responsible for producing the export file ready for evacuation of the materials to a thermal desorption centre in The Netherlands. All necessary operations were then carried out: lagoon cleaning, loading and evacuation of the earth, renovation of the storage area watertightness and management of effluents. In 4 weeks, the objectives were reached technically and financially, within the deadlines.
