Initial diagnostic and Simplified Risk Assessment on a paper mill On the site of a paper pulp manufacturing plant, ORTEC Generale de Depollution carried out a complete campaign of investigations intended to complete the existing environmental data concerning the degree of pollution of the site. A full report on the existing pollution impacts was drawn up using forty soil samples, ten drillings equipped with piezometers and a ten-hour pumping test. Following the SRA of the site, the multi-parameter (mercury, hydrocarbons, chromium, phenols, etc.) and multi-area pollution of the soils and underground water resulted in a final classification of category 1. ORTEC Generale de Depollution then recommended various choices and scenarios of corrective measures required to rehabilitate the site, still in activity.
